Charles D. Bouthot

Charlie began working on the web in late 1993, and became one of the first people to hold the title of webmaster. He possesses a unique combination of analytical, project management and web production skills. Charlie has performed technology assessments and scoped projects for senior level business executives; coordinated the efforts of creative and marketing groups; and managed internal and external IT resources.

Prior to joining New Technologies, Charlie was a Partner and Director of Web Management with QUIS Communications in Cambridge, Massachusetts, overseeing the development and administration of corporate sites for clients such as Symbol Technologies, York Photo, and Nashua Corporation, among others.

He possesses extensive writing and communications skills. He researched and co-authored a comprehensive "Telecom Industry Report" and 5 special reports on companies in the industry in partnership with Certified Financial Analysts of RCW-Mirus, a mergers and acquisition firm. He has also written several guides, including the Internet Profit Center Handbook, a training guide on how to sell and administer high-speed bandwidth services; and the QUIS Red Book, a procedural guide on purchasing and implementing ISP services, data networking and billing equipment.

Charlie has completed graduate study in systems analysis and design at Bentley College, trained in information security with the SANs Institute, and project management through the Project Management Institue (PMI). Charlie has a background in government and holds an MA from Boston College in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, and a BA from Assumption College in Worcester, Massachusetts, both in Political Science. He was was initially trained as a policy analyst and served in this capacity for the U.S. Senate Subcommittee on Education.

Charlie is also active in his community. As an elected member of the Boxford Library Board of Trustees he is helping lead the effort to build a $6.5 million facility expansion.
